Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Ovid Org ("Ovid Org," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at ovidorg.org, our community initiative Experience Springfield Township, and the technology and communication services we provide to nonprofits and businesses ("clients") that we build websites, apps, and programs for.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you fill out a contact or consultation form, subscribe to communications, or opt in to receive text messages. This may include your name, organization, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.

We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit our site, such as your browser type, device information, and general usage data, through standard web technologies. We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not use invasive tracking.

When we provide services on behalf of a client, we may process information supplied by that client or collected through the client's website, app, or program. In those cases, the client is the controller of that data and their own privacy policy governs its use; we act as a service provider under their instructions.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide consultations and services.
  • To deliver, maintain, and improve our websites, apps, and programs.
  • To send communications you have requested, including email and SMS messages.
  • To operate the Experience Springfield Township community initiative.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.

SMS and text messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages from Ovid Org or from a client program we operate, we collect your mobile number and your consent record. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile opt-in information or consent data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties except subprocessors (such as our messaging provider) strictly to deliver the messaging service you requested. For full details, message types, frequency, and how to opt out, see our SMS Terms & Conditions.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers (such as hosting, email, analytics, and SMS/messaging providers like Twilio) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, and only as needed to provide our services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Ovid Org, our clients, or others.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your information as described below.

Your choices and rights

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, and opt out of text messages by replying STOP. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at [email protected].

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised "Last updated" date.
